Oxford & Grand Union Canals
Oxford Canal
The Oxford canal continues through 77 miles of picturesque scenery from Oxford to Coventry. The Oxford Canal has escaped large-scale development and few towns have sprung up on its banks. The southern section is particularly charming and remains largely unaltered.
Grand Union Canal
The Grand Union Canal with 137 mile main land with branches to towns along the way is the trunk route of Britain's canal network linking from London, through the Chilterns with Birmingham via the longest single canal in Britian.
As the main line from London to the Midlands the canal was once one of the busiest in the country. Now it offers a wide variety of landscapes, wildlife, buildings, architecture and historic craft for you to discover.
